Kodiko's mission is to accompany refugees in France towards and in the employment by transmitting the codes of the French labor market and accompanying them in their search for a sustainable job corresponding to their professional project.
Kodiko was founded in June 2016 in Paris. An antenna was opened in Tours in 2017. Since its creation, it has accompanied more than 250 "pairs" composed of one refugee and one voluntary employee, thus creating the first co-training program "refugees-employees" in firm in France.
Kodiko offers to the refugee professionals an accompaniment to the professional insertion for a period of 6 months, composed of two parts:
- - an individual accompaniment in the form of bimonthly appointments with a volunteer employee within a partner company
- - and a collective support in the form of monthly workshops driven by coaches specialized in job search
Kodiko has also launched a pilot program "Exploration of the professional project", in order to meet the refugees' needs whose professional project would not be sufficiently clear or realistic to allow a short-term integration into the French labor market and would require a further reflection.
Its main challenges:
- - To be identified as a major player in the professional integration of refugees, in particular by the institutions, the associative world and the refugees themselves in order to continue to increase the number of beneficiaries
- - Continuously improve the quality of the existing support program
At the end of the 6 months of support, the Kodiko's objective is that the beneficiary refugees become active and independent job seekers, having understood and integrated the codes of job search in France, knowing how to develop their professional network, with the ultimate goal of finding a job, a training, an internship in adequacy with both their profile and their skills as with the reality of the French labor market.
With Club Méditerranée Foundation
The Club Med Foundation has supported the creation of the association Kodiko. Club Med's head office employees, located in Paris, were able to be part of the first promotion of the co-training program imagined by Kodiko in 2016. This partnership continues at the rate of two new promotions per year.
How will the funds be used?
The money raised through the Friends of the Foundation is intended to support the accompaniment over 6 months of a future group of statutory refugees in the framework of the co-training program "refugees-employees" set up in partnership with some companies in France.
